What is Traddie?
Traddie is invoicing and job-management software built specifically for UK tradespeople — plumbers, electricians, builders, roofers, and other contractors. It lets you create professional quotes, schedule and track jobs, send invoices, and take payments in one place. Traddie also applies UK tax rules automatically, including CIS deductions and VAT tracking, so you stay HMRC-compliant without manual calculations or separate spreadsheets.
How much does Traddie cost?
Traddie has four plans: Solo at £9.99/month, Pro at £19.99/month, Team from £49.99/month (plus £7 per extra member), and Enterprise with custom pricing. Every new workspace starts with a 14-day free trial and you won't be charged until your trial ends. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time, and every plan includes Traddie's built-in CIS and VAT features.
Is Traddie VAT compliant?
Yes. Traddie automatically calculates VAT on your invoices and quotes, and tracks your rolling 12-month turnover against the £90,000 VAT registration threshold so it can alert you before you cross it. It also produces Making Tax Digital (MTD)-ready exports in an HMRC-compatible format, so preparing and submitting your VAT return is straightforward rather than a manual spreadsheet exercise. Use our free VAT calculator.
Does Traddie handle CIS deductions?
Yes. Traddie automatically calculates Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) deductions on every subcontractor invoice. You set the rate per subcontractor — 20% for registered, 30% for unregistered, or 0% for gross-payment status — and Traddie applies the deduction, excludes materials per HMRC rules, shows the net payment, and generates CIS statements for your records and HMRC submissions. No manual calculation required. Use our free CIS calculator.
Which accounting software does Traddie integrate with?
Traddie has two-way sync with all the major UK accounting platforms, including Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and Sage. Invoices, expenses, and payments you create in Traddie appear automatically in your accounting software, with transactions categorised against your chart of accounts. There's no double entry and no manual CSV export, so your books stay up to date without extra admin.
Can I accept payments through Traddie?
Yes. Traddie integrates with Stripe for card payments and GoCardless for direct debit, so you can add a secure payment link to any invoice and let customers pay online in a couple of taps. Getting paid digitally means fewer chasing calls and faster settlement than waiting on bank transfers or cheques, and each payment is reconciled against its invoice automatically.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes. Traddie has dedicated iPhone and Android apps available now — download them free from the App Store and Google Play. The mobile apps add on-site features such as working offline without signal, so you can create quotes, log jobs, and capture expenses even with no signal and everything syncs the moment you reconnect. You can also use Traddie in any web browser on a phone, tablet, or laptop.
How secure is my data?
Very secure. Your data is stored on UK-based servers with bank-level encryption both in transit and at rest. Traddie is fully GDPR compliant, access is protected by secure authentication, and our infrastructure is regularly backed up and audited. You remain the owner of your data at all times and can export it whenever you need it.
Can I import my existing customer data?
Yes. When you set up Traddie you can import your existing customers, suppliers, and contact details from a spreadsheet (CSV) or your previous software, so there's no need to re-enter anything by hand. This makes switching painless — most trades are up and running with their full customer list ready to quote and invoice within an afternoon.
Do you offer customer support?
Yes. Every Traddie plan includes email support during UK business hours from a team that understands trade businesses. Pro and Team customers also get priority response times and phone support. On top of that we publish free guides, calculators, and tools covering VAT, CIS, and getting paid, so help with common questions is available the moment you need it.
Can I try Traddie for free?
Yes. Every new workspace starts with a 14-day free trial on the Pro or Team plan, and you won't be charged until your trial ends. During the trial you get full access to quoting, job management, invoicing, payments, and the built-in CIS and VAT tools. Enterprise plans are arranged directly with our team to suit larger businesses.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You can export all of your data — customers, quotes, jobs, and invoices — at any time, including before you cancel. If you do cancel, we keep your data for 30 days in case you want to reactivate your account, after which it is permanently deleted from our systems in line with our privacy policy and GDPR obligations.
