Fast Payments

Take card payments by link when the job is signed off, or invoice in stages for long kitchen and staircase contracts.

Kitchen quotes used to live on scraps of paper and in three different spreadsheets. Now everything is in Traddie: the customer gets a clear breakdown, I can tweak the spec on site, and invoicing when we finish is basically one tap.

FAQ for UK joiners & carpenters

Can I quote workshop fabrication separately from on-site install?+
Yes. Quotes support unlimited line items split however you want — typical setups break out design, materials, workshop hours, delivery, and on-site install. You can bill stages independently as work progresses.
How do I handle bespoke timber prices that vary by supplier and grade?+
Materials lines can be priced per job. Traddie keeps a default price list you build over time, but every quote line is editable so you can reflect actual supplier quotes for that job's specific timber grade.
Does CIS apply to first-fix and second-fix carpentry on a construction site?+
Yes. Most carpentry work on a construction site for a main contractor falls under CIS. Traddie applies the right deduction rate to the labour portion automatically; bench joinery and supply-only work to a non-contractor customer is outside CIS.
Can customers approve quotes and sign off on bespoke specs digitally?+
Yes. Customers receive a quote PDF with an Accept button. Acceptance is timestamped and records the spec they signed off on — useful for bespoke work where a later spec dispute would otherwise cost you money.
Can I include CAD drawings and shop drawings with my quotes?+
Yes. Quotes accept PDF, image, and most CAD-export file attachments. Customers see drawings, samples, and timber spec sheets alongside the pricing in a single PDF.
